Who was Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan?
Our former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5th September 1888, that’s why Teachers’ Day is celebrated on his birthday because of his love and affection towards this teaching profession. Born in an ordinary family, Radhakrishnan’s childhood was spent at religious places, his father’s name was Sarvepalli Veeraswamy and mother’s name was Sitamma. How to celebrate Teachers Day
